Planned Alpha Link would extend connections toward Morrison Lake

An approved Alpha Link project would add a one-mile connection from Encore Parkway toward Morrison Lake, according to Alpharetta’s Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The bureau’s development roundup identifies a $15.99 million design-and-construction project approved by City Council. The extension is intended to link the North Point District, Lakeview and the Big Creek Greenway through the future Encore Gateway park.

The description is useful context for residents following the city’s growing network of walking and cycling connections. It describes planned connectivity, rather than confirming the entire route is open for use.

Before planning a trip on the extension, consult current city project information and posted access conditions. Existing trail maps and a future development announcement serve different purposes, particularly while design or construction is still underway.
